By the end of the day, Saturday, April 30, you will be able to see your final course grade in Blackboard. If you are pleased with your course grade at that time, you could skip the Optional Revision(s) assignment, and what you see as your "Course Grade" in Blackboard is your final grade for the class. But if you want to try to raise your course grade, you could submit one or two Optional Revision(s) no later than 10:50 a.m., Monday, May 9. What common one-word greeting did not exist before 1883?
Answer:
Believe it or not, that word is "hello." The word has been used only since 1883. It became popular mainly because of the use of telephones, although Alexander Graham Bell preferred the greeting "ahoy." (Imagine greeting people with "Ahoy!").
