Plans for Future Use

According to Mytown Mayor Beth Jones, the town has been developing a master plan which should be ready next year. Mayor Jones provided a draft of the plan which includes a park and walking trail along Little Creek, an industrial park on the north side of town near the interstate, (etc..., you can add a lot more. If there are no plans, you can talk about the unwritten rules that appear to direct the development of your area.)

In my opinion, the walking trail and park are great ideas, because that are floods frequently and this will prevent people from building in harms way. I understand why the industrial park is planned for near the interstate, however, that area was once a paint factory and may need to be cleaned up before anyone will buy it and build there. I was also concerned that the plan did not discuss, (etc..., you can add a lot more. You should critique how things are done in this part.)

For the area, I would recommend that commercial development be restricted to ..., because... Residences should be kept ... and not... because.... (You get the idea. Use this section to discuss what should be built (or not built) based on what you have learned in class and about your area.)
